Who provides Renamo

Renamo is provided by Otato GmbH. These Terms govern your use of the Renamo website, documentation, downloads, and Mac app.

By using Renamo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or app.

License

Otato GmbH gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Renamo for your own personal or business document workflows, subject to these Terms and any license terms shown at download or purchase.

You may not copy, resell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, or modify Renamo. Only Otato GmbH may sell or commercially distribute Renamo.

Your documents

You keep ownership of the PDFs, images, extracted fields, filename patterns, and renamed files you use with Renamo.

You are responsible for making sure you have the rights and permissions needed to process and rename your documents, and for checking renamed files before relying on them.

Privacy and local processing

Renamo is designed to process documents locally on your Mac. The Privacy Policy explains what we do and do not collect.

Because Renamo works with files that may be important to you, you are responsible for maintaining backups and reviewing output before deleting or replacing originals.

Acceptable use

Do not use Renamo or the website to break the law, infringe others' rights, disrupt the service, probe or attack our systems, distribute malware, or bypass technical limits.

Third-party services

Renamo may link to documentation, download hosts, Otato GmbH, or other third-party services. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies, and Otato GmbH is not responsible for their content or practices.

Updates and availability

We may change, update, suspend, or discontinue parts of Renamo or the website. We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available or compatible with every version of macOS.

Disclaimers

Renamo is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that Renamo will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for every specific workflow.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Otato GmbH will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost documents, business interruption, or replacement services.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for Renamo in the twelve months before the claim, or CHF 50 if you paid nothing.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of Renamo after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
